Previously unbeaten prospect Eddie Ramirez and former world champion Antonio DeMarco met for a lightweight bout October 14, 2017 on FOX. Ramirez came out aggressive from round 1 backing up DeMarco against the ropes. But, halfway through round 1 DeMarco turned things around and connect with a straight left hook that shook Ramirez. DeMarco continued his onslaught and caused the referee to step in 1:56 into round 1 delivering Ramirez his first professional career loss. DeMarco continues his career by improving to 32-6-1.
