Multiple champion of Uzbekistan Odiljon Aslonov (2-0-1) and universal fighter Maxim Smirnov (9-14-5) met on the undercard of the RCC Boxing Promotions show, which took place on January 28, 2023 in Yekaterinburg. Aslonov was only at the beginning of his professional career, but at the Olympic level he reached serious heights. Odiljon repeatedly took the gold of the championships of his country, boxed for the national team, and in 2021 reached the 1/8 finals of the World Championship, where he lost to the future champion Robbie Gonzalez.
