Ryan "Cowboy" Karl faced off against Ken Alvarez at The Bomb Factory in Dallas, TX on November 28, 2015, in an exciting fight scheduled for 6 rounds. The fight was broadcast live on NBC as part of the Premier Boxing Champions series. This fight was action-packed from the very beginning. It took less than 30 seconds for the red-headed up-and-comer to score his first knock-down with a hard left on Alvarez. The brawl continued into round 2 as Karl continued to land shot after shot. He eventually knocked Alvarez down yet again with 2 minute left in the 2nd round. However, despite being dazed-and-confused, Alvarez somehow managed to survive the round. The was no break in the action in round 3 as Karl scores yet another knock-down, however some could argue that Alvarez slipped. Both fighters managed to stay on their feet in the 4th round, but in round 5, Karl lands a hard right that drops Alvarez yet again.
