Looking to continue his rise as one of the 154-pound division’s top prospects, “Swift” Jarrett Hurd stepped in against late replacement Jo Jo Dan in a PBC on Spike co-main event. Right from go, Hurd used his big size advantage to control the pace and distance with Dan, but the former 147-pound title contender was game for just about anything, getting in close with Hurd and mixing it up at will. Though his shots didn’t have a ton of steam behind them, Dan was able to land consistently in close. But Hurd was just too much for Dan to chop down, as Hurd piled up points throughout the fight, and ultimately forced the hand of Dan’s corner in the 6th round. After a staggering shot in the center of the ring, a few more shots prompted them to stop the fight.
