Undefeated boxer David Benavidez fought Kevin Cobbs in fight that ended in a KO on Tuesday, January 19 on PBC on FS1. Benavidez (13-0) was out to make a statement against Cobbs (10-2) and protect his undefeated record. Benavidez talked Cobbs early in the first round, pacing forward slowly and measuring up his opponent. When he starts to connect with his target, Benavidez mixes a high and low power punches, connecting strongly to the body with littler response from Cobbs. In the second round, Benavidez wasted no time going after Cobbs. A flurry of lefts and rights back Cobbs to the ropes. Punch after punch lands. A double left to the head by Benavidez makes Cobbs legs buckle and that was the end of a very one sided fight. Cobbs was able to scramble out of the corner but to no avail.
