Jamal "Shango" James faced off with Javier Molina in a 10 round fight that lead to a unanimous decision on PBC on FS1 Tuesday, January 19, 2016. Jamal james used his height advantage as a tool to measure up his opponent, shooting off jabs that would keep Molina at bay. The jab worked for James for most of the fight but Molina did make some adjustments. In the middle rounds he was able to counter James with overhand rights that found their target. James was able to shake off Molina's power and stick to his game plan. He outworked Molina in sheer volume with 713-329 punches thrown. There was plenty of action through out the fight but it came down to the judges. Jamal James ended up with the victor with a unanimous decision in his favor, keeping his undefeated record alive.
