Miguel Cruz battled David Grayton in a scheduled 10-round 147-pound bout on November 21, 2017, at The Coliseum in St. Petersburg, Florida. This fight was broadcast live on FS1 as part of the Premier Boxing Champions series. Cruz came out in round one as the aggressor, establishing his dominance early. In round three, Cruz stunned Grayton in the final 30 seconds of the round and both fighters fell to the canvas as Grayton tried to hold onto Cruz.
